In Nicky Upstairs and Down , a little kitten plays on the stairs in his house. Say Good Night! is a symmetrically written story in which a young red-headed girl who does not want to go to bed asks, ``What's good about the night?'' After her mother lists several nice things about the night, the little girl finally goes to bed. When she does not want to get up in the morning, she asks her fa ther ``What's good about the morn ing?'' He points out several things which are good about mornings to con vince her to get up and start the day. Each of these easy readers is also a good concept book, and both should be popular.
