PreS-K-Bear is back, taking readers on a tour of his house, with a little help from his black-and-white striped cat. The simple rhyming text is accompanied by Harter's richly colored illustrations done in pen and ink, watercolor, and crayon. The far-from-subtle colors-fuchsia, lime green, purple, orange, and more-are well balanced, giving each of the rooms a cozy look. The illustrations are great fun and children will enjoy finding repeated patterns such as the stripes. A floor plan of bear's house is included.
