Summary

Tack Gentry has been away for a year when he returns to the familiar buildings of his uncle John Gentry's G Bar. To his amazement, the ranch has a new owner, who is unimpressed when Tack explains that his uncle was a Quaker, didn't believe in violence, and never carried a gun. His advice to Tack is to make tracks. But Tack has other plans.

Summary

After a long absence, Tack Gentry has decided to go back to work at his uncle's ranch. Much to his surprise, Tack finds that the town is completely different, and his uncle's ranch now dubiously belongs to the ominous Van Hardin. After receiving threats from the town's crooked sheriff, Tack decides to throw down and take back the ranch.
