It's the day before Halloween, and Mouse is very excited. His mama has agreed to let him have a Halloween party. Mouse is sure it will be the best Halloween party in the world. Mouse goes from house to house inviting his friends: Hedgehog, Squirrel, Bunny, Mole, and Pig. All of Mouse's friends are happy to come to the party --all except Pig. When Mouse tells Pig about his party, she begins to cry. Pig had planed to have a party of her own. Whatever will Mouse do to make Pig happy again?

Author Notes

Jeanne Modesitt and Robin Spowart are a husband-and-wife team who have written and illustrated several books for children, including, Little Bunny's Easter Surprise, Mama, If You Had a Wish, and 1, 2, 3 Valentine's Day. Jeanne and Robin live in Utah, along with their growing family of dogs.

PreS-Gr 2-Tomorrow is Halloween and Mouse is having a party. He puts on his costume and goes to invite his friends. Both Hedgehog and Bunny agree to attend, but Pig begins to cry because she had planned to have a party and invite the same friends. As the sad little mouse sits on his swing, he comes up with a brilliant idea: he and Pig can combine their efforts and have their party in the park. The story concludes with a wordless spread showing the animals enjoying their Halloween celebration.
