Summary:
Ugyen, a schoolteacher in his final year of State service and an aspiring singer, has been sent against his wishes to the world's most remote school, in the village of Lunana in northern Bhutan. He faces tough conditions at the high altitude and is upset by a severe lack of amenities, but as the only teacher for the welcoming village he develops a sense of responsibility and seeks to make a difference.
