PreS-Gr 1--A new five-minute book series emerges, this time adapted from the Netflix television show Princess Power, which is based on the book Princesses Wear Pants by Savannah Guthrie. Four princesses who live in neighboring "fruitdoms" (Blueberry, Kiwi, Pineapple, and Raspberry) work together to improve their civilians' lives and the world at large. Each story is based on an episode of the show following a fairly formulaic plot with the princesses discovering a problem and working with their friends to devise a solution. Skills such as problem-solving and a reliance on STEAM skills help to save the day. Illustrations consist of stills from the animated series. VERDICT Add where there are fans of the series; otherwise this is an additional purchase.--Maria Graybosch
