After suffering a mental breakdown due to her toxic job in the city, young game developer Cara has carved out a quiet life of recovery as an aspiring crypto-miner in the rural California countryside. While working on a new algorithm, she discovers mysterious code embedded in the mining data. She begins an investigation into the code, turning to online communities and resources as the data inexplicably points towards aliens. Shortly after posting her initial findings, things start to go wrong. She is blocked on her messenger programs, her credit card information is stolen, and her computer network is hacked. Things turn deadly when strange vehicles show up at her property, and she soon finds herself in a cat and mouse game for her life.
