PreS-K-Layla becomes Lola in this Spanish edition of a picture book originally published in the U.K. Tuesday is Lola's favorite day because she gets to go to the library with her mother. In the library, the youngster gets to play in the children's area and attend storytime. Before leaving, she gets a stack of books that her mother will read to her later that evening. This book skillfully introduces young children to the library, especially because it includes details about checking out books and returning them on time. The charming acrylic-on-paper illustrations keep the focus on Lola and successfully convey the affection between mother and child.
